Whenever I feel overwhelmed and somewhat manic as I blog and create content, I know it is time for a rest.
And so I quietly remove myself from all social media for a couple weeks, or at least take it down to a dull roar and reset my batteries. We were able to enjoy General Conference, Stake Conference, and had a nice stake meeting with the visiting general authority who wanted to have some time with the stake Family History Consultants.
Paul and I were recently asked to serve as consultants in our ward and so it was joyful to listen to his message and feel the light and excitement of Genealogy kick in to a higher degree. Paul has been such a stalwart, entering documents into Family Search from his own family history. I have done almost no family history work, focusing my time and efforts these past years to help young families who are giving birth and welcoming young children into their lives.
I have always thought of my birth work as a type of spiritual ministry, because when Moms have empowering childbirths, it really influences the types of mothers they are and the willingness to give birth to a larger family.
So, I am excited to begin this new adventure in our lives, serving as consultants to those who are seeking for their own roots.
If you are interested in having Paul and I as your consultants, just contact me at JennyMHatch@Yahoo.com to schedule a zoom call. You do not have to be a Mormon or member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to ask for this help.
And it is FREE!
I just spent a few hours setting up my accounts on Family Search and Ancestry.com
Below is a tutorial on how to get the most from Family Search.
